Clifton College WebsiteButcombe Weekly Children's DiariesEvery week two of our children in Year 3 (aged 7) write an account of what they have done in school and these diaries are posted onto the website each Friday. This week Rory and Arabella volunteered to do this and are enjoying the thought that other children may be reading their diaries. Rory's DiaryWe went to Welsh Bicknor for our school trip. It is in Wales. We went to places like Clearwell caves which is an old iron mine and the Hedge Maze and Goodrich castle. At Goodrich Castle, we went up a big tower which was really scary. We had to hold on to a rope and go up and down a narrow spiral staircase. We went to a Youth Hostel and we stayed the night. I shared a room with my friends and it was so much fun! Arabella’s DiaryBefore half-term, I went on a school trip to Welsh Bicknor with my class. We went to a Youth Hostel and stayed up until 11pm. The next day I was really tired and we went to the Birds of Prey Centre where we saw lots of birds flying and being trained. We also went to a Hedge Maze where we played a big game of hide and seek, it was really scary running around the maze thinking that you could get caught at any moment! All the diary entries are the children's own work and have not been altered in any way.
