We aim to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment for the all-important years of early years.

Children join the Nursery when they reach the age of three, and may initially attend for either three days, five mornings or five full days.

Although run as an independent unit within the Pre-prep, the Nursery is an integral part of the school, and Nursery children take part in school activities wherever possible.

The Head of Nursery leads the team of qualified early year’s practitioners.

Children learn through play in a relaxed and creative environment, and the foundations of independence and academic learning are laid. As stated in the EYFS practice guidance;

‘Play underpins all development and learning for young children. Most play spontaneously, although some may need adult support, and it is through play that they develop intellectually, creatively, physically, socially and emotionally.’

Using the outdoor / indoor learning environments we plan challenging and stimulating experiences based on the children’s spontaneous play and interests.
