'Dolls' Festival' (Hina-Matsuri)

Mrs Faustino came into school to talk to us about the ‘Doll’s Festival’ (Hina-Matsuri) which is held on the 3rd of March. This is a day to pray for young girls growth and happiness. We tried rice cakes and looked at the beautiful kimonos.

We also tried Origami which is one of Japan’s traditional paper craft arts. We made a dog and a tulip.
