Clifton College WebsiteAnimal Farm Adventure ParkOn Tuesday 10th June, Reception visited 'Animal Farm Adventure Park', to support our topic work about Farms. We looked at the animals, within 23 acres of farm land, in the beautiful Somerset countryside. We went on the Jenny Land train around the farm to look at some of the animals and walked around the paddocks. We saw donkeys, Shetland ponies, goats, llamas, Highland cattle, Jersey cattle, and rare breed sheep, exotic birds and unusual fowl. We fed the ducks by the pond. We went into the barn and saw Kune Kune pigs called Poppy and Polly and Gloucester Old Spots called Bubble and Squeak. We went to Cuddle Club where we able to hold and stroke guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, chickens and many other little creatures with the help of the animal carers. We learnt all about the animals - how they are cared for, what they eat. We had a fantastic time!
