Clifton College WebsiteButcombe's great results!A group of Butcombe boys and girls recently took part in a rugby and hockey festival at Beaudesert Park School. The U8 girls did exceptionally well. It was their first experience of playing in a hockey match and they managed to win three matches, draw one and lose one. The U8 girls scored 6 goals overall, a high total for their age group. Though all the girls played very well, particular mention should go to Corabella Hill and Samantha Welsh for leading the line. ![]() ![]() Fresh from a high-scoring victory against Clifton High School that featured ten tries from Butcombe alone, the U8 tag rugby team were held to two draws and two losses against strong competition. Chins, however, were high. The boys played some great rugby in glorious sunshine. Many thanks to Sue Ingram and her able assistant Mr Bremner for coaching the Butcombe side and, of course, to all the parents who travelled to support both teams. It was a great day out. ![]() 11 November 2009 © 2006-9 Clifton College | Butcombe NewsRaising the bar U8 Tag Rugby Festival Butcombe Book Fair Latest Videos | ||||||
