After School Care 2008/09

Butcombe operates an After School Care facility from 3:45pm until 6.00pm. for up to 40 children each evening. There is a staffing ratio of one adult to eight children. A charge of £3.50 per half hour is made for any child staying after 3.45pm, and parents who are late collecting their child will be charged to the next half hour. A packed tea will be available (at £2.50), but if you wish your child to have tea it is necessary for us to know before 10.00 a.m, as these will have to be ordered from the Catering Department.

Under the provisions of the Children Act, we are required to know which pupils are on school premises at all times, therefore it is necessary for all parents wishing to make use of the After School Care facility to give the school advance notice, in writing. Only in the case of emergencies will a telephone call suffice.

If you wish your child to be cared for after school, please complete the form attached and return it to the Butcombe School Secretary. Forms for the following week will be available every Monday morning in the Entrance Hall and the Nursery.
