The Pre School with Union Jack picnic tables set out in the playground

It was a day of celebration at the Pre for the Royal Wedding. The Houses were all decorated with Union Jack flags and bunting as the children all avidly watched the ceremony dressed in home clothes with the theme of red, white and blue being the order of the day. After the service in Westminster Abbey had finished everyone went to the Pre playground for a delicious BBQ lunch and cup cakes decorated with flags on top. Once the burgers and sausages were finished it was into the Pre Hall to watch the RAF flyover on the big screen and of course to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s first kiss!

Clifton College was well represented at the service in Westminster Abbey, the father of the bride Mr Michael Middleton is an Old Cliftonian, and amongst the guests were former Pre Headmaster Dr Bob Acheson and Mrs Acheson. On a musical note amongst the musicians was Clifton teacher Mr Ross Brown playing the trumpet.

Please enjoy the gallery of the day.
