Clifton College WebsiteStunning Romeo and Juliet performance![]() The Drama Department enjoyed a very busy year during the last twelve months in which it celebrated the pupils’ success in a variety of areas, not least the two productions – Romeo and Juliet (see rehearsals gallery, and the performances gallery) and the musical Evita. The pupils excelled themselves in both productions and each one was so very different in theatrical and acting styles and required very different abilities. The Shakespeare production was one performed outside and, although it rained constantly it seemed, nothing would douse the inspired actors as they continued without a thought to the weather and carried the audience in all four performances through the drama and tragedy that unfolded. In the Evita production, earlier in the year, the pupils were challenged from the start with the very complicated score they had to learn. However, they were not to be daunted and performed with finesse and style throughout the week long performance schedule. The School is very proud of their achievements and is now looking forward to The Phantom of the Opera which is our next musical production in November 2012. After that, we have a great deal more to look forward to as you will find out if you regularly return to our website – the news is regularly updated and as the news items break, so we will tell you our exciting plans for 2012–13. 24 July 2012 © 2006-12 Clifton College | Clifton College NewsPres Athletics Success Newsletter Family fun at the UK's largest free nature festival | ||||||
