Well deserved success in GCSE exams

Clifton College pupils have achieved record numbers of A*/A grades in this year’s GCSE examinations.   The College’s Year 11 pupils amassed 815 A*/A grades, 60% of all GCSE exams taken.

Hannah Giebus, Jack Murphy and Saskia James (pictured above) were among those who achieved the “full house” of A^* grades, with 11 each.

Head Master Mr Mark Moore said “2009 has been a record breaking year for Clifton at both A level and GCSE. The pupils have performed as brilliantly in their exams as they have done throughout the year in sport, music, art, drama and a host of other activities. They thoroughly deserve their success.”
