Year 5 Security Alarms

This is an interesting project that introduces the children to basic mechanisms and the control system called Logicator. The project is based on the story of Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl. Mr Fox is a very clever fox who is always eating the farmer's chickens. The project is to produce a trap that will catch Mr Fox, without hurting him. The mechanisms the children produce are wide and varied and can be triggered by light sensors, push switches and some very interesting methods not easily described. Chicken hut 1 and chicken hut 2 are examples of the diversity the children produce!
