Year 6

Pupils will have eight lessons per fortnight plus prep and follow our own course that draws material from several sources including OUP’s "Science to 14 Foundation", Spotlight Science (Year 7) and they will have the Coordination Group’s Study Book as a reference. Topic tests will be used to monitor progress throughout the year. They will sit an end of Key Stage 2 exam in May. They should aim to attain at least National Curriculum level 4. In previous years we have 99-100% level 4, with over 60% level 5s.

The topics are as follows:

Autumn term: Materials & Change, Forces
Spring term: Human Body, Sight & Sound
