Clifton College WebsiteGuthrie House
Guthrie house is a day house for boys from Year 4 to Year 6. The House has a family type approach that helps us to nurture our youngest pupils. The age of the children in Guthrie is a crucial factor that has helped to shape a relaxed and supportive environment. The House is staffed by Mr Webb (the Housemaster) his wife and their three small children. Boys in the House are welcome early in the morning and many stay for tea and prep. This allows for very flexible pick-up times. There are a great group of House tutors who attend during the day, as well as the Housemaster, and two matrons in the House provide extra support for the boys when needed. Steve Webb is a graduate of the College of St Mark and St John’s Plymouth and Bristol University. He is now in the process of completing a PhD in the neurocognitive disorders of ADHD, BCD and Dyslexia. Steve is also Head of Technology. Married to Agathe who teaches French in the Pre, they have three small children. He has been a live-in tutor in two Upper Pre boarding houses and an Assistant Housemaster in Hartnell’s. © 2006-12 Clifton College | |||||||
