Clifton College WebsiteTait's Town
History of Tait’s TownTait's Town was named after C.W.A. Tait who was the first tutor of South Town from 1874-1889.
Tait's TownTait's is a close and friendly house to be in occupied by 40 boys from years 4-6 (ages 8-11). It is a day house which means the boys can arrive any time after 8.00am, and can stay until 7.00pm at night if they need to; a big asset to a busy parent. During the day it is their base and they come back to the house for break time and after lunch to play, read or relax inside the house or out and about on Whatley. Inside Tait's we have a games room (with table tennis, table footie and pool), a registration room (with a big TV and DVD for wet days) and a prep room which also doubles up as our very own library. In Tait's the boys and I put the emphasis greatly on 'teamwork'. With everyone helping out, Tait's is a great place to have fun, enjoy activities and make lifelong friends. All boys do their bit but I also have a great team of year 6 boys who help me out some more!
Tait's StaffWe have fantastic staff who are always around on hand to help the boys with anything they need. Leading the way is Chris Rogers, our very own Matron and a major asset to the House and I know both myself and the boys would be lost without her! Then there the wonderful team of tutors Mrs Hardy, Mrs Whatmough, Mr Barrow, Mr Mason and Mr Procter. © 2006-12 Clifton College | |||||||||||
