Clifton College WebsiteLife Imitates ArtAt the end of a recent chapel presentation given by History of Art students, the following prayer was read. Written for the occasion by one of the sixth form students (Estere Kajema), it beautifully employs imagery from the world of art to express profound themes. Dear Lord,
Free us from our frames.
Amen.
Teach us to see the world in its real colours. Show us how to paint light between the shadows. Help us to remember that each of us is an artist of our destiny. May the fires of inspiration ever burn. May our Muses ever dance. Let us always remember that You are the original Artist, that You made everyone and everything a masterpiece. Let us see the beauty in all the world and convey it as You would like it. 22 November 2010 © 2006-12 Clifton College | Clifton College NewsNewsletter 26 Clifton trumps the weather!
