History Society

Meeting 1 - Tuesday 19 January

After a brief hiatus the History Society has made a welcome return to the School's co-curricular calendar. The seemingly simple question of 'What is History?' got the historical ball rolling and produced not only some deep philosophical questions, but also a slightly odd video which Mr Mills had discovered whilst trawling YouTube.

The turnout was positive even though the History Society directly competes with Philosophy just next door. The Society provides a useful insight into some of the more profound aspects of the study of History whilst also giving some extra background knowledge of events not studied in either the GCSE or A-Level course.

Hopefully our next meeting in a fortnight's time will provide some equally challenging questions.
