OPDS Trip 2006
Year 11 students Alex Gordon and David Terry spent two weeks of the summer holiday in Beijing studying Mandarin Chinese on a course organised by Overseas Personal Development Services (OPDS). They attended lessons in the mornings and enjoyed cultural activities and trips in the afternoon with other students of Mandarin from all around the world.
"I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to improve their level of Mandarin. It was brilliant to be able to use
our Chinese in real life situations such as shopping and using public transport. It’s a great learning opportunity and
you meet a lot of interesting people. I would definitely go again."
