Clifton College WebsiteAbout Percival LibraryThe Percival Library is a Grade 2 listed building and was originally built between 1870 and 1874 as a library and natural history museum at the expense of John Percival, the first Headmaster. View A History of the Percival Library. ![]() The library is staffed by 3 full-time members of staff, including 2 professional librarians, who provide teaching and learning support for staff and students throughout the library's opening hours. The librarians teach research skills and information literacy and aim to inspire love of learning and joy in reading. To this end, the library hosts various events and author visits throughout the year. The library has a wide-ranging multi-media stock, with approximately 15,000 fiction and non-fiction books, plus periodicals, newspapers, an increasing stock of DVDs, a new graphic novel collection and various online resources.
