Daniel Robson

Dan Robson joined the Music Department as Assistant Director of Music in February 2010. Prior to this he was a music teacher and Head of Music Technology at The London Oratory School in Fulham, West London, where he spent three and a half years.

As an undergraduate Dan studied music at Oxford University and held a choral scholarship at Magdalen College, studying singing with Peter Harvey and composition with Bill Ives. As well as singing in the Chapel Choir, Dan undertook solo work in Oxford, including singing the role of Schaunard in La Boheme (Oxford City Opera 2002).

When in London he sang with various professional church choirs including St Bart’s Smithfield, St John’s Hampstead and Marylebone Parish Church. Recent solo work has included Bass in the Bach Magnificat (Oxford Spezzati) and Baritone in Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony (London Oratory Choral Society).

As well as singing, Dan also plays the trumpet.
