Scholarships and Bursaries

The Upper School offers various Scholarships and Bursaries at the 13+ (Year 9) and 16+ (Sixth Form) entry points, awarded to those who perform outstandingly well in examination, assessment and interview. Supplementary bursaries may also be awarded in cases of proven financial need.

Scholarships for September 2008

In summary, the following Awards are available:

Academic Scholarships at 13+

Examinations for all academic awards will take place at Clifton College between Tuesday 6th May 2008 and Thursday 8th May 2008. The closing date for entries is Monday 31st March 2008.

Art Scholarships at 13+

All applicants will be required to attend for interview and examination on the morning of Thursday 1st May 2008. The closing date for entries is Monday 14th April 2008.

Music Scholarships at 13+

All candidates will be required to audition at Clifton on Tuesday 29th January 2008 or Wednesday 30th January 2008. The closing date for entries for all 13+ Music Scholarships is Monday 7th January 2008.

Sport Scholarships at 13+

Applications should be made by Monday 29th October 2007, and assessments for short-listed candidates will take place on Sunday 11th November 2007 and Monday 12th November 2007.

Sixth Form Entrance Scholarships at 16+

Applications for Academic, Music and Sport scholarships should be made by Monday 5th November 2007. Examinations and interviews take place on w/c 26th November 2007.

Polack Scholarships and Bursaries

Jewish boys and girls are encouraged to apply for any of Clifton College’s Academic, Music, Art and Sport Scholarships (at 11+, 13+ and 16+). The Trustees of the Polack's House Scholarships Fund are also able to award a number of means-tested Polack Bursaries for Jewish boys and girls who would not otherwise be able to come to the School.

These Scholarships and Bursaries may be up to the value of 100% of the fees.
