Adventurous Training

There are many opportunities for adventure training within the CCF. The extensive list of tri service courses is published early November for the following year and our cadets are encouraged to take part in as many as they can fit into their already full lives.

The expeditions and courses are normally run during the holidays although there are many weekend sailing, parachuting, canoeing and diving opportunities throughout the year.

Activities include abseiling, canoeing, climbing, hill walking, navigation, RYA courses, BSAC diving courses and expeditions to name but a few. The cost varies from a few pounds to a few hundred pounds for the big foreign expeditions. There is also the challenge of living and working together as a unit for the duration of the course or expedition and learning the art of tolerance!
