Clifton College WebsiteThe CCF and the Duke of Edinburgh Award SchemeGold Award Co-ordinator Mr. G. Walker It must be made clear that it is not necessary to be in the CCF to follow the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme at Clifton. It should be apparent, however, that much of the work of the CCF is compatible with the demands of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Expedition skills are taught and should be sufficient to equip candidates up to Gold level without excessive extra training. In addition to the Expedition Section, a cadet undertaking the Award must follow a Skill, Physical and Service programme, which could be their service within the CCF. At Gold level participants must also undertake a residential course which could be one of the many training courses or camps available to cadets. Providing the participant is an active and motivated Cliftonian, the Award can provide them with new skills and also an extra 'qualification' which sets them apart from their peers. © 2006-12 Clifton College | Upper School NewsClifton trumps the weather!
