Clifton College WebsiteLeadership CadreWe expect cadets to be motivated and demonstrate a willingness to look after cadets younger than themselves. Ideally the CCF should be run by the cadets for the cadets, with officers only present to ensure the safety and security of all involved, and give direction where appropriate or necessary. To expect our more senior cadets to take periods of instruction without training in the skills needed and without complete mastery of the subject material is unrealistic. It is the task of the Leadership Cadre to do just this. The cadre is run during the Lent term. The Fifth Form cadets are extracted from their sections and given intensive instruction in military related subjects and methods of instruction. Gradually these cadets will take a greater part in the instruction periods so that, in the end, all instruction, under supervision, is by them. The future of the CCF is in the hands of this group, and we intend to do our utmost to ensure they are properly prepared for this responsibility. © 2006-12 Clifton College | Upper School NewsFamily fun at the UK's largest free nature festival Hockey success for Lily Owsley Schools' German Poetry Competition | ||||||
