Kayaking

Lent Term Kayaking Course – Thursdays 3pm–4pm

Throughout the course your son or daughter will be trained in various kayaking skills and depending on ability should qualify in either the 1 or 2 star British Canoe Union Award. This activity is free of charge and open to complete beginners.

Kayaking will take place in the School swimming pool from 3pm–4pm. The School swimming pool gives pupils the opportunity to practice advanced skills such as Eskimo rolls in a warm and safe environment.

The following kit will be provided by the School:
Kayaks, paddles, spray decks, helmets, buoyancy aids and cags (waterproof top for canoeing, sailing etc).

Pupils will need to bring the following:
Swim shorts, old t-shirt and a towel. Goggles and nose plugs are optional.

Kayaking Trip parental letter, course details and consent form.
