Clifton College WebsiteEvents![]() BBC Concert Orchestra - BNHC Sparkplug Volunteer – Composing for FilmSome 27 teenage musicians from around the Bristol area spent most of their half term break at Clifton working with the BBC Concert Orchestra, composing for film a piece of music for the launch of the Festival of Nature, taking place at Bristol Harbourside, 11–13 June 2010. ![]() Festival of NatureClifton is very pleased to be sponsoring Schools’ Day of the Festival of Nature, which kicks off the long weekend event starting on Friday 11 June when nearly 1000 KS2 pupils (including 70+ from the Pre) will take part in a number of workshops. About 30 of our Upper pupils are helping out as volunteers for the day too, along with David Richardson who is leading a Clifton workshop on Friday and Remy Ware, joining Upper in September, who is flying the Clifton banner and promoting her UK Ladybird Survey on Saturday. The Festival is completely free and opens from 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. For further information you can download the accompanying leaflet. Dragon Boat FestivalClifton is also taking part in the Dragon Boat Festival at the Baltic Wharf, Bristol Docks on the same weekend, Sunday 13 June when Worcester and East Town are putting out teams. This also promises to be a great fun day out, so another good reason for coming down to Bristol Harbourside over the weekend and supporting Clifton. Hope to see you there! © 2006-12 Clifton College | |||||||
