Health and Food

House staff and House matrons deal with minor ailments or cuts, but any serious illness or injury is immediately referred to our own extensively equipped Medical Centre (The San). Here, fully qualified and experienced nursing staff are on hand 24 hours a day to assess, in conjunction with the School doctor, the correct course of action. The doctor visits daily and all boarders are required to register with him.

The health of day children will, of course, be primarily a matter for parents and their family doctor. If any day child is taken ill during the school day, however, the staff in the San are more than happy to look after him or her until parents can be contacted.

As far as catering is concerned, the College uses the Dining Hall in Big School. A cafeteria system is in operation and this ensures that there is a wide choice of hot and cold meals available to the children including vegetarian and kosher options. The College Shop (The Grubber) sells confectionery and snacks, a wide range of stationery and textbooks, games clothes and equipment, and school uniform.
