Clifton College WebsiteNorth TownNorth Town Day House accommodates approximately sixty day boys between the hours of 7.30am and 7.15pm. Like the other Town Houses, North Town aims to offer a boarding experience without actually sleeping in the House! Famous old boys include Henry Newbolt and John Cleese. House EthosA North Town boy is difficult to categorise, although an independent spirit and support for ones peers is actively encouraged. To this end the House has attained success in various sporting and cultural competitions including House Art, House Drama and House Games. House StrengthsThe House becomes a centre for the pupils and they make strong friendships which can last a lifetime – as many OCs prove! The relaxed and understanding relationship between staff and boys help the latter to develop and be proud of their achievements in whatever field. House ActivitiesFacilities include a Games Room, a House Hall, changing rooms and a Sixth Form lounge. To relax, the boys have access to Sky Digital TV, Pool, Air Hockey and Table Tennis. At the work end, pupils share a study in 2s and 3s and have access to a House Library and computers. Each year group should also enjoy a tutor group outing each year along with other informal gatherings such as BBQ’s.
