Religious, Spiritual and Moral Development

The attitude of respectful tolerance of religion, race and gender amongst the pupils has been identified by Inspectors as one of the College’s major virtues.

Although established in the Anglican Christian tradition, Clifton welcomes pupils of all religious beliefs and aims to develop each pupil’s understanding of a personal faith, to give them an awareness of the potential inspiration and challenge of religious believing, and to encourage their capacity to explore spiritual values for themselves.

The Chapel is physically and spiritually at the centre of school life. All members of the School attend Morning Chapel four mornings a week, except Jewish pupils who have their own service in the Polack Centre Synagogue.
