Real Tennis

Aims of Sport, mission statement

  1. To provide all Cliftonians with a taste of this ancient and thoroughly enjoyable game. Real Tennis is a complicated but very social game, which can be played at any age, whatever one’s ability. Clifton is one of only 4 schools to have a court on its own campus.
  2. To identify a group of between 4 and 10 pupils per year group, boys and girls, who play regularly and provide a pool of talent for matches against other schools and clubs. Scholarships to provide free lessons are available, and several Cliftonians have benefited from this scheme.
