Aims of the Sport

  1. To encourage expert marksmanship and safe participation using a variety of firearms.
  2. To have a team capable of representing the school at national level.
  3. To support exceptional pupils in gaining international honours and represent their country at the highest level.
  4. To develop self-discipline, teamwork, dedication, motivation, leadership and good humour.

One Team of Eight and a pair.

Previous international marksmen/women: Murray Liggitt, George Greenbury, Olivia Newhouse.
Current 43 Wessex Brigade Champions, Bristol area small bore cadet champions

Development:

Coaching programme runs from 3rd form through to Upper 6th and beyond if selected to represent GB internationally. Team places awarded on performance not age. Senior pupils are coaches and receive training. Emphasis is on long-term commitment to the team.
